Azaleas in watercolor

I've been creating some art just for myself.. here is a set of azaleas in watercolor, painted from my own photos. I started this painting with the intention of doing a small series on flora local to Orlando, FL.

Been busy setting up a few new Etsy accounts

I've just started a new Etsy account at www.etsy.com/shop/theinnersideofme and a corresponding tee shirt shop over at Cafe Press at www.cafepress.com/theinnerside for people who want my designs in a tee shirt form. Not really sure what will come of those, but some people mentioned it, so I figure it couldn't hurt to take existing artwork and bring it over to Cafe Press!

The kind of work I'd like to do on The Inner Side Of Me is more of a fine art style, similar to this blog. Although it's not too difficult to start something new, I do find that the maintenance of the Etsy page is a little time consuming.

The reason that I have several Etsy pages is that I do several very different types of work, some of them for purely commercial sake. The work I do for myself can be found on this blog and on The Inner Side.
The drawing you see here is from a dream.

Japanese Teapot

Pulled out the paints after a long break. Was genuinely surprised by this one, not that it's perfect (far from it) but I thought I would be a lot more rusty. I'll be painting much more often from now on.

Still Life with Mango and Kiwi

This painting was done as an exploration into a very tight, realistic style. I painted it with medium, mostly liquin, which is somewhat discouraged now, but was recommended by my instructor at the time. I have taken some classes over at Crealde here in Orlando, and I can't really say enough about the instructors there. They are just superb. If you live in Orlando, and you want to learn how to paint, Crealde is the way to go.
